General Skills
- Swordsmanship - Keller inherited his father's superb talent with a weapon. He prefers a Force katana to the traditional lightsaber, but is just as proficient with the latter as the former. He was trained from youthhood by his father in Form V, but picked up Soresu as a Jedi Knight for a defensive form to fall back on.
- Military training - Joint operations with the Galactic Alliance and Galactic Empire have seen Keller utilizing advanced military tactics and trained marksmanship besides his natural abilities as a Jedi Knight.
- Teras Kasi - Keller's mother, a former Follower of Palawa, passed down everything she knew about this martial art to her son. He knows enough to be able to utilize it to defend himself if he doesn't have the availability of his katana or his Force powers, and after his mother's death he continued to better himself in the art through self-training and reading holocrons on the subject.
Appearance
Keller inherited most of his aesthetics from his father such as his strong, athletic build, tall stature, and handsome facial features. But his hair came from his mother - his father, and most Dan-Dovers like him, had red hair.
Like many other Jedi of his era, Kelly prefers more casual clothes to the traditional Jedi robes, which he usually only sports when on missions or at the temple. His preferred outfit for everyday life is a dark brown jacket, a black T underneath, and simple jeans or slacks. Usually he wears nondescript colors like tan, black, grays and dark blues.
Personality
Keller is first and foremost in his life a Jedi Knight, and it shows through his actions and personality. Kelly inherited his father's determination to get the job done. He isn't afraid to put himself in dangerous situations and it isn't his own brashness that gets him into them - he knows what he's doing and what his limits are, and is confident in his personal ability, but not to the point where he will blindly rush into a situation that he knows he can't handle.
Kelly has developed a subtle quick wit through his late teenage years and early adulthood. He has become increasingly outgoing and charismatic as he learns to deal with the death of his mother and the absence of his sister and father.
Background
Keller was born the son of Aran Dan-Dover, a hero of the Civil War and a powerful Jedi Knight.
In the waning years of the war, Aran met Keller's mother, a woman known only as Tara, in a prison cell of a liberated Sith military base. A Follower of Palawa, Tara's family had been killed by the Sith when they conquered her homeworld a month before meeting Aran. Despite their cultural differences, hey nurtured a relationship that lasted after the war ended and eventually developed into love. Keller was born, and six years later, so was his sister, Jenny.
Keller's mother
As opposed to having him train at the academy on Dac, Keller's father trained him in the Jedi ways personally for the first ten years of his life. Occasionally he personally escorted him to classes at the Praxaeum, but for the most part their father-and-son, master-and-apprentice relationship was very effective.
The Dan-Dover family's life was turned upside-down when Kelly was sixteen. With him at the Academy and Aran off on a mission in the Outer Rim, Tara and ten-year-old Jenny were left at their residence on Dantooine. The two men of the family returned together to celebrate Jenny's birthday, only to find that their home had been ransacked, Keller's mother was dead, and Jenny was missing. Tara's last words to her husband and son were: "I must go now. You must find.. Jenny.. goodbye."
Aran immediately took these words to heart. Leaving his son in the care of Miraluka Sage Master Aisa Laere, he set out in search of Jenny and her captors. Keller begged to his father to allow him to come along, but he insisted to his son to continue his Jedi training under the Sage Master. Aran practically disappeared from the New Jedi Order entirely, and he would not have contact with his son until ten years later.

With all of these things weighing down on him, Kelly relied on the Sage Master to prevent him from sinking into complete depression. She helped him to find comfort in the Force, and to focus on the joyous moments he had with his mother and sister rather than the abrupt wrenching away of them from him. She taught him as much about the Force and being a Jedi as his father had taught him about fighting.
Over the next ten years he grew into a powerful Jedi Knight, confident in his abilities and in himself. The void created in the sixteenth year of his life was filled through his responsibilities as a Jedi, but it all turned upside down again when he got a message from his father.
Jenny was alive, and he had found her.
The message told Kelly to meet his father on Nar Shaddaa. Kelly found him within an inch of his life in the back alley of a shantytown on the planet, a lightsaber hole burned through his shoulder, just above his heart.
"The Sith took her, Keller.. she didn't do this to me. She tried to save me. There's still good in your sister. You must find her. You must bring her back. Finish my job."
