Appearance
Standing at a medium height for a Hapan, Avalin is beautiful. Beauty is a characteristic of any Hapan, however, and Avalin does not particularly stick out amongst her peers in this regard. She wears her black hair a reasonable length, and it is neither perfectly straight nor perfectly curly, giving an odd sort of wave. As men are second class citizens in her society, Avalin does not feel any need to attempt to impress suitors, nor does she find the sometime scandalous competition amongst Hapan women to prove their beauty appealing, so she almost dress moderately. Being she is a Hapan, however, she still takes painstaking care of her appearance. Her favorite outfit, and one she most frequently, is a moderate and flowing
white dress in varying styles.

Personality
When describing the personality of Avalin, you describe what might be considered your typical Hapan woman, baring a few details. Avalin is hard working, determined to make a name for herself and her family, and not afraid to do what is necessary to complete that. While she is less inclined to rely on the assassination of her fellow Hapans to get what she needs, charm and beauty only get her so far, as most Hapans are equipped with some degree of it. Her high upbringing has left with a solid foundation in the form of sense confidence, but she doesn’t let that make her over-bearing or pushy like many Hapans can be to one another. She has a deeply routed hate of the Jedi and their force powers, due to her traditional rearing, and holds a religious reverence to the Queen Mother and all she says.

Background
Born to a moderately well known, and very wealthy, family on Arabanth, Avalin has never been required to lift a finger in her life. That did not stop the young lady, however. From a very little age the young Hapan has been tutored by the best scholars on her mother had access to, attempting to prepare the young woman and catapult her ahead. The Vraia family was power and wealthy enough that they had access to the upper part of the Hapan Caste system, but were still low on the totem pole for it. Avalin took up her mother’s want and need to build their family name, throwing herself into her studies. While the devotion to family and hard work were not uncommon among her people, the young Vraia woman seemed to take it to the next level. While she maintained a few close and very personal friends, her devotion to family and studies often cost her the wider social interactions.

This dedication would eventually pay off, however. When Avalin was nineteen years old she was selected by her local Planetary Senator to serve as an adviser. The young woman’s dedication to academics had caught the attention of Lahsara Maiou, this planetary senator, and although some of her critics and peers laughed at it for her, she employed the young woman as a Inter-Consortium adviser. Avalin had specialized in the interactions between Hapans for quite some time, and proved to be an invaluable consultant for the older politician. After the three years of Senator Maiou’s term was completed, and she was elected to be a Royal Court Representative. Feeling no remorse, she fired the then twenty-two year old Avalin, knowing she could find more experienced advisers on the inter-Consortium level.

The past three years, however, Avalin had been building up repute with Maiou’s local constituents and peers on the planetary senate. With Maiou promoted and out of the picture, there was no incumbent, and Avalin started her campaign in full force. Her lack of social interactions apparently did her no harm, as she seemed to be fluent and understanding when speaking with Hapans of all variety of power and prestige. Her intelligence, quick wit, and short but solid experience paid off, and the young Vraia won the seat. The first two years of her office went swimmingly, honing her skills and working to create a better life for her constituents. As the next elections draws closer Avalin knows that many Hapans are eyeing her seat, thinking the young and recently elected woman to be an easy-to-beat competitor. Just as her opponents from her last election had been systematically identified and beaten by the young woman’s political prowess, however, so to would the new and fresh competitors.

Avalin often dresses in the most formal of wear, due to her station and its expectations, but never passed up the opportunity to wear a less formal dress and skirt amongst friends and family. As often as legally possible the young woman carries a small, hold-out pistol in a holster on her upper right thigh, in case of an assassination attempt or otherwise unfortunate circumstance. She also frequents a loose flight suit while practicing flying both atmospheric and space craft.
