"Mine are the deep-seated fears established when we are children, and they never quite go away: The fear of being helpless, the fear of being trapped, the fear of being out of control."
NAME: Experiment 626, "Jenraux"
ALIAS: Jenny
SPECIES: Shard implanted into a Techno-organic Sithspawn Human body.
HOMEWORLD: Targaris Station, Orax System
RESIDENCE: None
AGE: Five months; appears 21-24.
GENDER: Female
HEIGHT: 5'7" / 172 cm
WEIGHT: 102 lb / 46 kg (healthy weight 132 lbs / 60 kg)
EYES: Golden-yellow
HAIR: Black
SKIN: Copper-red, black chitin, pale blue crystals.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Force vampire
FORCE POWERS:
- Force Vampirism: Jenraux 626 draws from the life-forces and Force potency of those around her. While normally a temporary effect, if she's around someone when they die she permanently absorbs their Force energies, adding them to her own - particularly if she killed them. To a lesser extent, she does the same thing to someone who attempts to establish a Force bond with her. This is not a conscious effect, and is constantly active.
SKILLS:
- Experiment 626 is programmed with expertise in armed and unarmed combat as well as assassination protocols. As much as she dislikes it, she is a technically competent fighter. Unfortunately for her prospects in the job market, that's pretty much her one skill-set - and she deeply hates to employ it.
- Experiment 626 is programmed with proficiency in the Ventress form - dual lightsabers in a variant of the Ataru form.
- 626 can interface with computer systems through micro-wires extruded through her skin, and though she lacks much experience with slicing she's programmed for some capability at it. 626 is also able to tap into power supplies the same way, either providing power for a device or draining the device's power to charge her own systems. This energy is not to be confused with the Force energy which 626 also requires.
- 626's vocabulator and translation module grants her fluency in over six billion forms of communication, though she hardly has the diplomatic skill of a protocol droid.
APPEARANCE
Experiment 626 appears to be a young humanoid female of a species closely related to the Sith pureblood, if not a pureblood herself. The majority of her features are Human, though she displays some alien traits as well. She has facial features somewhere between sharp and predatory, though the overall effect is fairly attractive. 626's slightly slanted almond-shaped eyes have golden-yellow irises and slit pupils. She has high cheekbones and arched eyebrows, leaf-shaped pointed ears, with long, sharp eye teeth in her upper and lower jaws like the vampires of a dozen myths. Her skin tone is a bit redder than normal, with a bit of a metallic luster to it almost like burnished copper. Her hair is inky black with light brown highlights that falls down to her upper back when worn loose. 626 has a slender frame with a well-defined musculature, her skinny body practically devoid of curves. She has lost a great deal of weight, more than is healthy, and is malnourished due to having practically starved since she was released from Ralkor Zhen's control. Jenny couldn't pass for a human without cosmetics, though she doesn't quite look like a cyborg - at least on the surface. Even a cursory medical examination reveals her mingled cybernetic and organic nature.
Jenny typically dresses in a black nerfskin jacket over a shirt, pants, and a pair of flats. She doesn't understand the nudity taboo, which can lead to awkward moments as her armor tends to shred her shirt when she deploys it; her jacket is looser and of a more durable material. Her garments are all cheaply-made and low-quality, as she has precious little to her name and almost no ability to earn extra income.
626 was crafted through Ralkor Zhen's mastery of mechu-deru, an effort to create a Force-wielding battle droid. Her skeleton is a cermet composite linked together with high-tensile carbon wire and miniaturized servo-motors rather than tendons, her muscles a weave of high-powered rybcoarse fibers and her nervous system a series of electro-optic cables that relay her thoughts at literally the speed of light, enabling her body to keep up with the quick reflexes of her computer brain - and to interface with computer systems by touching them and extruding micro-wires to link the computer to her processor. 626 has living organs and blood stolen from Force-sensitive captives, blended into the droid frame so thoroughly that it's all but impossible to tell where the machine ends and the flesh begins. Her skull is an armored case surrounding a complex droid brain that interfaces seamlessly with the organic brain and the implanted Shard, all quite thoroughly infiltrated with techno-organic matrix. The droid brain includes a remote data link, a comlink, a recording unit able to record all of 626's senses for one hundred hours, and a TranLang III Communicator module that enables 626 to communicate with nearly any known species with a vocal range to match. Her eyes incorporate advanced infrared sensors with telescopic zoom (up to 12x zoom), while her ears incorporate audio sensors able to pick up sounds well outside the human range.
The most important part, though, is that 626's animating force came from another Force-sensitive captive who Ralkor Zhen enteched into the replica droid. The blood and organs combined with mechu-deru nourish her enteched soul, sustaining the distilled life energy with the Force by transforming the mechanical components into something darkly alive, a form of machine life that lives and grows just as organic life does, pervading the organic components until there is practically no difference between the two. This enables 626 to channel the Force, after a fashion - she siphons ambient Force energies and from those around her (particularly those she kills), and through her own minor sensitivity to the Force she can direct those stolen energies to augment her own. She requires food, water, and air as a living creature, though her requirements are significantly less due to only about a third of her mass being truly organic. However, she also requires the presence of true organics or some other reservoir of Force energies to sustain her more eldritch requirements, and if deprived of those Force energies for too long she'll eventually run out of energy and lapse into a coma.
PERSONALITY
626 is sweet and naive, with a gentle temperament that makes her easy to get along with. She is rather timid and quiet, though by no means a coward - 626 isn't so much afraid as she is reluctant to assert herself and not confident in her capabilities. Jenny has a very reduced sense of self, and regards herself as being almost completely helpless in nearly every situation. She is much more compliant than stubborn, preferring to give in to another's demands rather than fight over the point. 626 is not by nature a fighter, and values life (both machine and organic) a great deal as only one who is well-acquainted with death can. While most may not complain about such a trait, her pacifist tendencies and deep revulsion of killing led Ralkor Zhen to regard her as a failure. Unfortunately, she's gone too far to the other side and regards all killing and all violence as evil.
626 is convinced that she was an ordinary person Ralkor Zhen captured and forcibly transformed into a techno-organic monster. She hates and fears what she's become, and at times that translates into hating herself. She feels hollow, with muted emotions and only haunting echoes of what it should be like to be a person. The only thing that makes her feel good is killing - and that is the one thing Jenny hates to do. While Jenny cannot self-terminate, she very often wishes for death simply to make it all end.
She's terrified of the idea of losing control of herself, of what she thinks are computer implants in her brain taking her over. 626 is a broken person, if she can be properly termed a person at all, and not just because of her lack of memories. She has overcome her compulsion to obey programming strictures, and if someone were to slice into her droid brain they'd discover a tangled, unreadable mess of buggy code and alien software that simply shouldn't work.
626 is quite interested in arthropods, machines, and geology. She has a curious affinity for arthropods, quite understandable given that one of her donors was one, and will quite happily spend hours simply watching a bug. They tend to regard her as one of them or simply ignore her, not attack or flee like they normally would with a humanoid. 626 has a knack for machinery and its workings courtesy her droid processors. Lastly, her interest in geology started not with her origins as a Shard, but rather her inordinate fondness for shiny things. She has not had the time she would like to pursue those interests during her captivity, but a sympathetic scientist on Ralkor Zhen's staff provided 626 a datacard loaded with a xenobiological text, a droid catalog, a manual on repair and maintenance of household droids, and a rockhound field manual under the guise of useful information for the combat droid to learn.
626's persona when her armor is active is somewhat different than 626 ordinarily. Aggressive, even vicious, it is the manifestation of 626's id. When she deploys out her armor, the persona overcomes her normally restrained, gentle nature and she becomes a creature of impulse and instinct free of inhibitions. While certainly not unintelligent and suffers no cognitive impairments, she can act almost animalistic when indulging her darker impulses. Ralkor Zhen sought to establish that persona over the gentler base personality, but to no avail.
BIOGRAPHY
Experiment 626 is one of hundreds of experiments in Sith alchemy and genetic engineering that Ralkor Zhen conducted aboard Targaris Station. The Ssi-ruuk's intent was to breed an army of cybernetic super-soldiers powered with stolen lives. 626 doesn't remember much of her life from before she was taken, but she's pretty sure she was born a Human. 626 has spent much of her time in isolation fantasizing about what her life was like before Ralkor Zhen captured her, a fiction as much drawn from half-remembered fragments as from her own imagination. In truth, the reality is more complex. Experiment 626's droid frame was manufactured in a Colicoid facility, and her organic components harvested from a Human captive before being combined with captured orbalisks through Sith alchemy. A second captive 'donated' the soul energy that the Ssi-ruuk Ralkor Zhen used to empower the droid frame, while the Shard crystal in the droid processor was grown in a lab from a fragment of an Iron Knight named Opila. The result was a techno-organic chimera that fed on the very lives of those it killed, brimming with the Dark Side. For the better part of two months, the nascent intelligence of Experiment 626 fought, killed, and fed on its fellow captives at Ralkor Zhen's command. At first 626 seemed to be a success, but as the monster fed on their lives it began to pick up something of their humanity, or perhaps it began to remember its own lost innocence. Whatever the case, 626 found herself dreading fighting her fellow captives until she finally found the courage to refuse to do so.
Furious, Ralkor Zhen began experimenting on 626 to discover the cause of this 'defect'. He discovered that 626's personality had effectively split, the dominant persona that of the gentle, timid pacifist and the subordinate persona that of a vicious, atavistic predator. The only way Ralkor Zhen could find to get 626's subordinate persona to the surface was to force her to deploy her armor - or to subject her to sufficient pain that her mental defenses broke down and it assumed control, whereupon it would deploy the armor to better protect its body. Fortunately for 626, the experiments were interrupted before they could proceed too far.
The majority of the Experiments prior to her were failures on some level or another, typically resulting in either a broken half-wit, a psychotic killer, or something so mangled and mutated it simply could not survive. Dozens of her fellow prisoners and friends died horribly over the last few months, unwillingly transformed into horrific monsters or their souls sucked out to power Ralkor Zhen's droid army - or worse, died at 626's hand.
GEAR
- Natural armor: 626 has an unusual sort of body armor, black metallic chitinous plates that form gauntlets, vambraces, chest plates, shoulder plates, her lower jaw, cheeks, and the base of her skull, and segmented plates along her neck and spine. The armor is made from the same substance as an orbalisk's carapace, being that it essentially is orbalisk carapace, with small crystals embedded in some of the larger plates. The crystals glow with a ghostly blue light, and appear to function as reservoirs of Force energy. Chemically, the crystals are nearly identical to the Shard species, and have a sort of sentience of their own leading to the armor developing a sort of alternate persona within 626's mind when she deploys it. The armor coverage is quite minimal, being best used as an active defense. 626 can retract the armor at will, drawing it beneath her skin and concealing it within her body. The armor enters a pseudo-fluidic state when retracting and slides down through her flesh and onto her bones to line her skeleton. Being that the techno-organic armor is mutable, she can grow more pieces provided she has sufficient Force energies and materials - both organic and metallic - to draw on. Deploying and retracting the armor is already quite painful for 626, so she has little desire to grow more armor. Though Ralkor Zhen did not intend for her to be able to retract the armor, 626 figured out how to do it on her own and has found she prefers not wearing it outside her skin.
- Natural weapons: The armor includes a handful of natural weapons. The gauntlets include sharp claws on each of the fingers and the thumbs, while the bracers include eight-inch-long spikes that retract into 626's forearms. The spikes and claws are quite sharp, and though unpowered are dangerous against unarmored opponents or foes wearing light armor.
- Spinal tendrils: There are also a set of six spikes similar to those on the forearms at the end of retractable, segmented tendrils plated in the same chitin as the rest of the armor, located on the spine in between the shoulder blades. The tendrils are flexible and strong, highly resistant to cutting and roughly as resistant to being pulled apart as low-grade steel; they have strands running their lengths made of a fiber very similar to spider silk. They are also quite quick and have a reach of about three meters.
