Targaris Station Orax System, Subterrel Sector Talyn 625 knew she was defective. Her programming had developed a massive flaw on her latest mission, and she knew she had gone rogue. She knew she should have reported this to her masters and submitted to repair and reprogramming, but she didn't.
Talyn was not a droid.
She used to be, but before she was made into a droid - or rather, made to think she was a droid, she'd been . . . something else. Alive, an independent mind and a person all her own. Now she felt the machinery beneath her flesh like a constant alien invasion, a violation of her very person - and a cold, inhuman and unwelcome presence in the back of her mind told her that while her programming was defective and no longer able to control her, the core of it remained. That had not hindered her from reaching the decision that she had to escape, to flee Ralkor Zhen's control and get out of Sith space before the thing took over again.
Talyn stood up, sparing a glance at the newer Experiment she shared a cell with. The ghost of a smile tugged at the corner of her mouth; Jenraux 626 was rather endearing, but the younger cyborg was so helpless that Talyn couldn't trust her to pull her own weight.
Jenny stared up at Talyn, eyes wide and expression hurt. Jenny knew what Talyn planned to do - she wanted to go, too, but knew without being told that Talyn didn't want her tagging along. She'd just get in the way.
"I will be back for you after I escape," Talyn said, feeling she had to reassure the other prisoner - even if she didn't think she'd get the chance, or even particularly want to. It worked; Jenny's expression lit up as she nodded enthusiastically. Talyn slipped out the door before Jenraux could bother her with any more questions. They had been locked in, but Talyn had made some friends on her last mission. The Imperial Resistance had been targeting Targaris Station for some time, and she'd helped them get access to her deceased handler's passcard. She smiled as the door opened, then spared Jenny a last glance before she slipped out. The girl gave her a reassuring smile and a thumbs-up.
Talyn realized she was going to come back for the girl. She turned away more reluctantly than she thought, closing the door behind her as she strode towards the Sith guards. They barely got in a word of protest before she drove her fingers into the first one's throat, tearing out his windpipe, and flowed into a rapid neck-snapping kick to the other one's jaw. Talyn followed the second one to the ground, picking up his blaster rifle almost before he was dead.
Ralkor Zhen was going to regret creating monsters he could not control.
About ten minutes later, Talyn watched from the hangar control room as a shuttle approached Targaris Station's main hangar. Allegedly a shipment of arms and ammunition, the shuttle bore a load of Resistance fighters . . . with their arms and ammunition. Talyn only had vague notions of what they were doing on the station, a massive orbital fortress on the very edge of Sith space, but she knew they didn't have the forces to take it. They might have been here for Ralkor Zhen and the research - that was the only thing she could think of that was of value on Targaris.

Here goes nothing. That's what went through Derec's head as he shoved a power pack into the receiver of his rifle. His helmet folded out ont his head, and he sighed. Hopefully his New and Improved Combat Suit wouldn't fail him. He looked over to his troops, as they were arming themselves. They gave him a salute. The ship had landed in the hangar. Show time. "Alright, boys and girls, lets get this show on the road."
The door of the shuttle slid open. Derec leapt out with his strike team behind him. As soon as his feet met the ground, he took three shots out on the nearest Sith. They all met their mark. Derec's comrades did the same. As the firefight began, Derec took off towards the control room. An enemy appeared in the hallway. Derec shot him thrice in the chest. Stepping over the body, he jogged tactically to the door. A sigh of anxiety passed from his mouth. He flew through the door, weapon ready.
A woman was standing in the room, and his SIU verified her as an entity to connect wirelessly with. He looked puzzled underneath his helmet. Despite the firefight outside, he had to ask: "Who are you?"post

"I am designated Talyn 625," she replied in a voice so calm it was almost monotone. The cybernetic Sithspawn was dressed in her dark armor, reptilian leather and armorweave that left the midriff bare; horrifically impractical to the soldier's experienced eye. Then again, Sith were like that - particularly the powerful ones. Her features were too close to Human to be a true Sith, though; despite her coppery skin tone and yellow eyes, she could easily pass for a Human.
Talyn slowly lowered her blaster rifle to her side, satisfied from her own inspection of the trooper that he was no threat to her. "I was told to expect you," she said. "Take me out of here. Now."

"This is an Intel op. But I suppose you could tag along." Derec was curious as to who this actually was. This was an interesting find, especially on a ship like this. But he was no fool to the possible treachery that may hide behind her. He'd have to keep a careful eye on her. Through his SIU, he was able to bring up a map of the ship, showing him directly where the Sith database was. Walking to the door, he said: "Come on. We don't have much time."
He headed out the door, and back into the fray. A Sith Trooper shot at him. Ducking and rolling, Derec slid behind a crate for cover. Taking a few shots at the enemy, they connected with their mark. Bobbing and weaving through more fire, the soldier made his way to another hall, his SIU guiding him through his HUD. However, somebody blocked the way. And they had a lightsaber.

Keller was the second one out of the ship, following up the resistance fighters with lightsaber in hand but quickly overtaking them in speed as he charged into the wave of Sith, drawing first blood on an unlucky trooper who caught Kelly's crescent-sweep through his waist. He took charge after Derec slipped off into the control room, drawing his Force-katana and dual-wielding it with considerable skill as a pile of dead or disabled bodies formed at their feet. Stormtroopers were no match for a Jedi Knight, and it seemed as though those were all that were defending the hangar.
He sheathed his lightsaber and did the same with his katana after wiping the human and alien blood off of it, then followed Derec's path while the commandos celebrated their initial victory and secured the rest of the area.
Kelly caught up with Derec in quick form and was alarmed to see a girl accompanying, no older than himself, with a Force signature much darker than his own. His hand fell to his waist; the cold metal of his lightsaber hilt in his fingertips reassured Kelly, suppressing the pricking feeling in the back of his head.. somewhat. Something about the station had tipped him off from the beginning and he knew it wasn't the girl.
"The hangar's secure," the Jedi explained, following the resistance leader's stride. "Only two casualties, and -- "
He was interrupted midsentence by the presence of another Force-user; a Sith had lowered his cloak and was standing right in front of them, a menacing red rod clutched in his fist.
Kelly turned to Jensen and gave him a look that said "I'll take care of this." From the sheath slung over his back, the Jedi produced his katana, and stepped forward into an aggressive Niman stance. The duel began with a strong diagonal slash coming from the Jedi, which he followed up with a long lunge that would have easily ran right through the Sith's abdomen if it went unprotected. It didn't, of course, but Kelly already knew what his next ten movements would be.
Minutes later, Keller scored a deciding blow on the dark warrior. He turned back to Talyn, giving her a hard stare with piercing brown eyes even as his next statement was directed to no-one in particular.
"Shall we continue?"

Talyn met the lightsaber-wielding Jedi's stare with an unamused one of her own. "I can see you were not created to be terribly effective in a fight," she remarked, not having bothering to draw her own weapons at the sight of one of Ralkor Zhen's disciples. The cylindrical handles of her lightsabers were a reassuring presence on the undersides of her forearms, but she didn't need them - not yet.
Talyn frowned at the first man, the one who'd rushed up into the hangar control room. "I do not believe you would do very well at all collecting intel by storming facilities," she said. "Are you not the people I contacted on Geonosis, the members of the Imperial Resistance? We must depart immediately before my ma- before Ralkor Zhen returns."

Derec's face grew a bit more grim as she slipped. She's not escaping. She's trying to run away. This is a breakout. Derec didn't respond to her. Instead, he spoke to Keller. "Get her back to the shuttle. Send a few of our guys after me. I'm going into the server room. That intel is vital." With that, Derec took off further down the hall. A few more troopers appeared. Derec fired on the first two, taking them out. The third shot at him, barely missing Derec's head. Dropping down onto his own back, Derec shot the man in the face several times. Getting back up, he entered the next door on the left, which was the Server Room. He cleared the room. empty. He started to tap in with his SIU, getting as much intel as possible. The server locked him out, but Derec didn't worry. He practically had everything. He took off towards the shuttle.post

"That's your personal opinion, my dear." He smirked at her when he passed Talyn in the hallway, beckoning for her to follow. Slowing his stride to match hers after he caught up, Keller pressed his earpiece and spoke the orders that Derec had requested to one of the commandos, then turned back to Talyn with the same curious glance he'd had earlier. Her initial qualities were obviously humanoid, but there was something chromatic about her, her voice.

Talyn smiled at him, unintentionally showing her fangs. She felt a thrill of pleasure at being asked who rather than what she was. The thought occurred to her that these people wouldn't know that she was a . . . thing, and that she didn't have to tell them. "Talyn. My name is Talyn. We will have time for introductions later, after we leave." Having to repeat herself was odd; people either did as they were told or were not people she should be giving orders to. Someone who existed outside the Sith caste structure and wasn't an enemy was a foreign concept to the cybernetic Sithspawn. She wasn't quite certain how to handle it.
She spotted the leader making for the shuttle and followed after them, starting off at a walk and ending in a run. Talyn wanted off this station.
Once aboard the shuttle, Talyn looked about uncertainly at the seats with their five-point restraints. Most were full of Resistance fighters, but she wasn't sure if she should sit down there or if there was somewhere else she should secure herself. She at least recognized the model of shuttle, but it wasn't exactly the sort of transport she was used to. Talyn looked up at the Jedi. "Where should I sit?"

Derec stopped for a second. He smiled as an idea came across his mind. He sprinted back to the server room. Ripping a few thermal detonators off of his utility belt, he activated them. Derec chucked them into the server room, and walked back. He smiled as he felt heat from the explosion behind him, continuing on to the hangar.
Once he reached the hangar, he moved quickly into the shuttle. As soon as the rest of his men were inside, Derec looked to the pilot. "Let's get going." the pilot nodded as the shuttle began to take off. Rather than strapping himself in to the seats, he hung on to a handhold attached to the ceiling of the vessel. His helmet folded back, and he began to speak.
"We did good today. We picked some valuable information out of their servers, and we should be able to use it to our advantage. " He looked to Talyn. "As for you, I'd like to hear some more about yourself. Telling the truth helps, too.post
