Welcome to the site. I'm always happy to find someone looking to contribute something. We're still in the development stages, but if folks get characters together and want to start RPing I think we've got up enough for that. mm, and I'm always happy to be a part of something great and new. especially if it's connected to SW universe^^ regarding the questions, however, I have a few. all of you people seem really...ach, educated about the post-film lore, whereas I prefer the old republic and am as such a bit out of sorts when it comes to these settings. I know I can look up everything on wookieepedia, but the articles there are seriously long and extensive, whereas I'd like just a brief, concise gist of the things that happened after the movies. If you (or anyone else, for that matter) could supply something like that, I'd be very grateful^^ |

Well, let's see. This is just going off my memory, mind, 'cause I've only read a few of the books. I'm skipping and skimming over things, just hitting the highlights and the important stuff. The Rebels founded the New Republic, and pushed back the Empire over about a decade or so. Luke Skywalker founded the New Jedi Order (the ancestor of the Jedi Order on our site), starting with the Jedi Academy on Yavin IV. A succession of Imperial warlords tried to bring back the Empire, the one who did the best was Grand Admiral Thrawn (a Chiss). They all eventually got pushed back into the Imperial Remnant, which is currently the core of the Galactic Empire. The Yuuzhan Vong invasion in about 25 ABY (give or take) changed the Empire's fortunes, as it was the New Republic who really took the brunt of it. The Vong were eventually pushed back as the novelty of their alien biotech wore off and the galactic powers started coming up with counters to it. Unfortunately, this didn't happen until after Coruscant was pretty much destroyed, along with a lot of other planets, and the death tolls were huge. The New Republic pretty much collapsed, forming the Galactic Alliance. Some time after that, Jacen and Jaina (Han and Leia's kids) get involved with a couple of other wars. Jacen turns to the dark side and becomes the next Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Caedus. It's one of those things I try to ignore as much as possible, 'cause it was really... dumb. It happened about 40 ABY. Jaina married Jagged Fel, and it's strongly suggested their kids will eventually become the next Imperial dynasty. At 137 ABY is where the Legacies era picks up. By that time, Roan Fel is the Emperor of the Galactic Empire. The Imperial Knights are his bodyguard, and are basically armor-wearing Jedi devoted to the Empire and the Light Side (in that order). The Sith come back again, under the leadership of Darth Krayt. He overthrows the Fel dynasty and names himself leader of the Empire. There's a brief Sith-Imperial War that ends in Cade Skywalker (Luke's great-great grandson) killing Krayt and Marasia Fel (Roan's daughter) being crowned Empress after the Imperial Knight Valin Draco killed her father for turning to the Dark Side. The Galactic Alliance was pretty much taken out, and Mon Calamari (aka Dac) was pretty much wiped clean of life. The present is 534 ABY. In the centuries between where canon left off and this site picks up, the Empire experienced a lot of peace - and a decline into corruption and decadence culminating in something rather reminiscent of Rome's Crisis of the Third Century. The Fel dynasty was wiped out by the efforts of the Imperial Usurper, the Echani Kinsaris Karu, in 508 ABY, and Gaius Holt (an Imperial Senator who led the counter-revolution) was crowned Emperor. The Sith returned in 511 ABY, as the Emperor's close friend and bodyguard, the Imperial Knight Ector Vent, revealed himself to be Darth Adas (and yes, he's named himself for that Adas. The Imperial Civil War ended in about 518 ABY with a stalemate between the factions, and they've spent the last sixteen years with everyone pursuing their own agendas. Most notably, Darth Adas is attempting to re-create the Golden Age of the Sith - including alchemically transmuting his FS subjects into Red Sith. |

Welcome aboard!! Very excited to have you in on this  Sol summed it all up very nicely. Legacy is nice because its a grittier time with the "Bad" side more in a dominant position and the "Good" side is on the run sort of in hiding. Its sort of like Rise of the Empire x5 hehe. Less noble then TOR - that's where I came from too. |

Less noble then TOR - that's where I came from too. *hi-five* for all of us who hail from TOR. <3 god, do I love the old rep. it's just so...dunno, special to me. I actually fell in love with SW during kotor I&II, rather than during the movies. I think that kotor I&II plot is actually much better. it's all so..gray, I think. gives you some food for thought. the movies are just plain old black&white fantasy setting. |
