History: Colonized by Mandalorians in 324 BBY, after a century of extreme seismic activity changed the planet's climate to be habitable, the planet has developed a unique culture.
Colonists from several clans sent colonists to the planet, who erected villages and took advantage of the fresh, unpolluted environment to grow crops while surveying for valuable minerals. These were discovered in everything from precious metals to industrial metals. The only disadvantage of the world is the incredible amount of mountains, naturally isolating many areas of the planet - these isolated areas usually contain valleys that support climates for suitable habitation than the colder winters of the high mountains.
Over the years, as clan tensions heated up, more and more Mandalorians rushed in to capitalize on the world's natural potential. It was quickly discovered that drilling in for the precious metals would be extremely difficult, and requires heavy machinery and is quite expensive. Only determined entrepreneurs with patience and genius can exploit these conditions.
As the flow of Mandalorians slowed as many gave up, those that remained began hauling war captives to the world to do most of the heavy, tedious work. These slaves spent their days laboring in deep mines in the high, cold mountains, resting in settlements in the valleys at night. Other slaves were assigned to the plantations next to the settlements in the valley.
As clan tensions heated up, warlords led attacks to attempt to capture the more profitable and well established settlements from one another. Thus many settlements morphed into strategically and expertly built citadels. Coupled with the slave population and small amount of Mandalorians, usually a set of a few families, a feudalistic system came into existence. Each settlement is centered around a citadel, with hundreds to thousands of slaves laboring away to support the settlement, ruled over by a handful of Mandalorian warriors headed by one leader. These warriors are in charge of maintaining operational efficiency out in the fields, and hole up in the castle when trouble brews.
A popular site for raids by offworlders, many of the citadels are well equipped to defend themselves, and the hardy Mandalorians maintaining this unique system are no easy match. They threw their allegiance behind the Darasuum, chafing at the Vencuyanir Movement's demands for abolition, restraint at display of personal wealth, and nomadic tradition.
