Alright guys, I've got a few ideas.
1. I honestly think the GA should become more of a resistance, back to its roots.
2. Let the Vong have another takeover.
3. Bring the Ssi-run into this. I thought it was odd having them gone.

1. They own only about a quarter to a tenth of the galaxy, where the Empires have much more. The, say, Sith wiping them out is not at all outside the realm of possibility, and the Alliance is funding resistance movements in the Sith Empire. Come to think of it, I might slap a distinct Imperial Resistance faction in there (or something like it, anyhow) to fill the niche of Rebel Scum. How does that sound?
2. Also not outside the realm of possibility, but the Vong are of a somewhat different character in this setting than normal. With the way they are right now, having them attack the Sith is decidedly likely.
3. The Ssi-ruuk are gone? Where'd they go?

1: sounds intriguing. I've got a soldier in the works for something like that. Let me know what's going on with that idea.
2. True. You bring up a good point.
3. They've really had no major influence. They've really been under the radar. I think it would be nice to see them do something major again.

In regards to number 3, we have quite a lot of factions already - and I am unsure as to how many people would be excited in signing up for and participating in a Ssi-ruuk faction. Those who really want a Ssi-ruuk character can always just create that for themselves and get a few others to RP through some Ssi-ruuk plotlines if they have their hearts set on it

1. The Imperial Resistance. Right now all I have for it is that it's Alliance-funded Imperial loyalists operating behind the enemy lines in an Orwellian Sith Empire. If you've any ideas or suggestions on where to take them or what to do with them, then by all means share them. I'm not trying to make a setting that's just for me, after all, so I'd like to know what players are interested in playing.

I'm currently responsible for attempting to develop the Chiss, so I wanted to share what I myself have and get user feedback as well. The Chiss, as they stand, can currently pretty much do whatever they want to.
Here's how I'm writing them at the moment:
Think of the Chiss as the new Soviet Union, and the new U.S.S.R..
A Chiss by the name of Mal'ins'turvon, also known simply as Mal, the General Secretary of the Unified Peoples of the Chiss (UPC) has spent numerous years gradually consolidating his power, influence, and outmaneuvering and isolating his rivals and opposition within the Chiss government until his inevitable rise into power as the undisputed leader of the UPC.
After his ascension into undisputed power, Mal'ins'turvon has enacted totalitarian rule. The two subjects of his abuse of power, ex-fellow government officials Leo'nul'ralvanan and Sh'tahd'malnoran were expelled from the government and forced into exile.
Taking full advantage of his totalitarian rule, Mal forced collectivization of farms. The Chiss government assumed control of all existing enterprises and corporations, and initiated an intensive program of industrialization.
Because of the collectivization, famines became overtly prominent in the Outer Regions causing millions of deaths. Any usurpers or rebels were persecuted, and sent to Chiss Reformation Facilities where they were beaten into submission and forced labor. The biggest stain in recent Chiss history is the Supreme Verdict, an essential genocide enacted by Mal'ins'turvon.
The Supreme Verdict resulted in the execution and and detainment of old Chiss political activists who were loyal to Leo'nul'ralvanan and Sh'tahd'malnoran. The Chiss Loyal Legion of Mal'ins'turvon (CLLM) have arrested, detained, or shot and killed more than half a million people already in total--approximate to 1,000 executions a day. Any Chiss still loyal to the exiled political figures are fleeing into hiding, and the possibility of civil war is brewing.

I've got tons of Ideas on what to do with these guys, a lot of it involving an all too familiar Sci-fi horror game. They'd be lead by Derec Jensen (the character I'm writing up). I'd try to make them as much of a resistance as possible. They'd be like the characters of Resistance.
