This site is, quite obviously, a thoroughly blank slate. What ideas do you all have for establishing the setting, how we should run it, that sort of thing?

I'm thinking about having this for the Galactic/Sith Empires: Play opens up right when the Galactic Emperor is consolidating power after civil war and a long decline, stamping out corruption and making sweeping military reforms in the decadent Empire - and perhaps his long-term friend and comrade-in-arms (maybe even the leader of the Imperial Knights) betrays him and assumes the mantle of the Dark Lord of the Sith.
The Empire's split in two, one side falling under the Dark Lord of the Sith and the other remaining with the Galactic Emperor. Maybe that'll happen earlier in the timeline, so that there's been time for the two Empires to differentiate. I'm thinking on having it be basically Golden Age of the Sith vs Fel Empire.
Perhaps some corrupt doucher on the Outer Rim declares himself Emperor, too. Make a sort of feel of a brief period of peace and order that the Galactic Emperor established is rapidly crumbling.

As discussed on Skype, I like the sound of this idea and support it completely.

I'm also throwing in a Napoleon to go be all flirty and shit with the Hapan Queen Mother, and serve as the Royal High Commander.

Well then, I've no doubt this will certainly be an interesting scenario.

So there would be no GA/Republic faction?
And where would this leave the Jedi Order?

There's a Galactic Alliance, I just haven't figured out where they stand on this and what they've been doing.
The Jedi Order are apolitical, and on reasonably good terms with at least the GA and the Empire. They have temples in both of their territories, and probably other factions' territories as well.

The Jedi are just kind of like, "Hey, guys, we're going to do our own thing and keep to ourselves. Hope that's cool with you. We don't want any trouble. kthx."

Pretty much. The only ones they actively oppose are the Sith, and even then it's not so much the Sith Empire as it is the Sith themselves.

I REALLY like that. I'll update you on the Clans, I have most of it fleshed out in my mind and will now just implement.
NOTE: You have to be VERY careful with the Vong...there's a reason most sites ban them, at least at first. If you guys are deadset on including them, make sure they're well regulated....in short, they have the most potential to be abused.
